HerCity: Digital Toolbox for Sustainable, Equal and Inclusive Cities

The digital guideline presents a cost-efficient process that includes 9 building blocks on how to co-plan cities from a girl’s perspective. The 9 blocks represent the three phases of the urban development process. They guide the users through the assessment phase (block 1-3), the design phase (block 4-6), and the implementation phase (block 7-9). Moreover, each one of the blocks contains a number of activities with detailed steps to follow, and tools such as checklists, calendars, agendas, manuals, forms, boards, apps, templates, surveys, and visualization services.

International Womens Day-2021 celebrated across Kashmir

Srinagar: In connection with International Womens Day, celebrated on 8th of March every year, a number of functions to commemorate this day were today held across all the districts of Kashmir division.
On the occasion, seminars, debates and other related programmes were organized besides women achievers were also felicitated by the respective district administrations.
At Srinagar, the District Level Centre for Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Srinagar, in collaboration with Srinagar Smart City Limited today organised a function to celebrate International Womens Day at Government College for Women (GCW) Nawakadal, here.
The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, who is also Chairman MSK Srinagar and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Srinagar Smart City Limited was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

More organisations, departments, schools and colleges celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 through various programmes, award functions and activities across the state.
Wokha: WDLSA in collaboration with district administration, DLCW- MSK, Sakhi (one stop centre) & Eloe Hoho under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao held the programme with Yentinoungbou, EAC (judicial) as keynote speaker and JMFC & secretary Wokha DLSA, Khrievono Seletsu as theme speaker.
Phek: PDLSA in collaboration with Phek Area Mothers Association (PAMA) organised a programme at Phek town council hall. President PAMA, Shetalu Medo gave opening address, Cheliam Khiamniungan Secy, Phek DLSA shared significance of IWD and urged women to support one another for a harmonious and progressive society. Panel lawyers, Sekhotso Rokha and Thomeweu spoke on domestic violence act, 2005 and gender equality.
