A group of friends have raised more than $90,000 to honor long-time journalist Helen Ford Wallace at the University of Oklahoma.
The funds will be used for an endowed journalism scholarship at the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication, and the student gathering place in the rotunda will be named after her. 
“Helen’s long career has been nothing short of exemplary, and we at her alma mater are pleased to be able to honor her in this way, said Ed Kelley, dean of the Gaylord College. Thanks to her friends who spearheaded the gifts campaign in Helen’s name to help students in Gaylord College for many years to come.   ....
