The Bluffton High School student of the month for January 2024 is Alissa Beck, daughter of Monica and Andrew Beck. Alissa is a senior with a 3.938 GPA. Beck is a member of the Drama Club, Show Choir, Chamber Choir and BHS Marching Band-Color Guard, where she was the captain the past two years as well as secretary. Louis Terry Chappell, known to all as Terry, died in Bluffton, Ohio, Monday, February 12, 2024. Terry was born in 1942 in South Haven, Michigan to Louis and Pauline Chappell. In his youth, Terry enjoyed boy scouts, sports and being outdoors. He was the President and Co-Valedictorian of his high school class. After undergraduate studies at DePauw University, Terry attended
Bluffton Elementary teachers Heidi Steiner, Jaime Combs and Ryan Dunlap have earned a win with benefits in the Health Action Council Heathy Kids Fall Step It up Challenge. As the Top Steppers, they will receive $1,500 towards health improvement for the school. They logged in an impressive 821,575 average total steps and 2,464,725 combined total steps.
