DEAR EDITOR: Boardman Center School and Boardman police have a lot of explaining to do. Anyone who assaults a special needs child — or any child — with a stapler has no business working anywhere near children. If this incident made the news, I’m willing to bet it’s not the first revolting thing this person has done. I’d like to know what Boardman schools’ hiring policies are, namely, how they evaluate the qualifications and character of teacher’s aide applicants. I believe the person in question should have been fired immediately and had their credentials to work with children ...
