Carmignac has assigned Keith Ney to its strategic investment committee and named him as a third portfolio manager on its flagship Patrimoine fund.

Two funds affected
M&G has appointed new managers on two of its UK equity funds, promoting existing team members into the roles.
Elina Symon has been appointed manager of the £511m M&G UK Income Distribution fund "in recognition of her significant contribution to the fund".
She joined M&G in 2011 as a graduate and has worked as a dedicated analyst in the UK equities team since 2014, before assuming the deputy manager position on Charifund in 2018 and the UK Income Distribution fund in 2019.

Darren Rabenou joins from Fabbri Fund Management
UBS Asset Management's Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) business has appointed Darren Rabenou as head of food & agriculture and head of ESG investment strategies.
Rabenou's role will cover real estate, infrastructure, private equity and agriculture. He reports to Joe Azelby, head of REPM, and will be based in New York.

Quilter Investors hires multi-asset ESG fund analyst


The hire follows that of Eimear Toomey as head of responsible investment in April 2020, as Quilter Investors looks to build out its ESG credentials.  
Clark said Cave joins "at a time when responsible investment is becoming increasingly vital to the way the industry operates", and his experience in fund research and understanding of ESG integration "stands us in good stead to further integrate these processes into our investment process".
"Responsible investment is no longer a nice to have for asset managers," he added.
"It must be at the forefront of their investment proposition and we are excited by recent developments within the Quilter Investors team and what the future holds for us in this space."

In her new role, Fairweather will campaign to improve public policy and regulation on behalf of savers and investors.
She joins from Nationwide, where she led the firm's Brexit preparation as part of her role as a senior member of the policy and public affairs team.
