Orange County plans to revamp its code-enforcement operation. Code enforcement, best known for efforts to keep residential properties from becoming neighborhood eyesores, will become part of the Neighborhood Services division which also aims for community improvement but without punitive measures. Mayor Jerry Demings will ask county commissioners Tuesday to approve the merger and confirm the re-appointment of Jason Reynolds as manager of Neighborhood Services, a promotion he received in 2019.
