Precipitation kept Three Rivers Fire from spreading Wednesday As of the April 28 evening update, the Three Rivers Fire was still 12,000 acres and 5% contained. Due to cooler, wetter weather, the fire did not grow much Wednesday. The fire started at 26 acres at 8:42 a.m. on April 26 and grew to 12,000 acres by the evening of April 27.
