Chris Willis to bike across the country to raise money for public education

Dr. Chris Willis has big plans this summer. He is going to ride his bike across the United States to raise money for public education.
Willis, associate professor in Bowling Green State University’s College of Education and Human Development, plans to traverse the Northern Tier Route by the Adventure Cycling Association, beginning in Anacortes, Washington, on June 7 and ending in Bar Harbor, Maine, on Aug. 2.
Willis’ goal is to raise $51,000 for public education  $1,000 for each of the 51 school districts he plans to stay in during his transcontinental journey that will total nearly 4,300 miles over the course of 57 days with a stop in Bowling Green on July 17. ....
