Here at the latest Denver election results for city council in races between Brad Revare and Shontel M. Lewis, Darrell Watson and Candi CdeBaca, Chris Hinds and Shannon Hoffman.
The initial round of unofficial returns posted just after 7 p.m. showed Johnston ahead of Brough, 53% to 47%, with 62,504 votes to her 54,461.
About 12,500 votes remain uncounted citywide, according to election officials.
Lewis received 51% support, compared to 49% for Brad Revare.
Nearly half of Denver’s City Council will consist of fresh faces after its newest members take office next month, making for a legislative body that’s still relatively left-leaning but also likely more collaborative than it has been in the past, experts say.
