Bronx, NY On Saturday, Pierina Sanchez (above middle) was joined by some of her many supporters, including US Rep. Adriano Espaillat, US Rep. Ritchie Torres, NYS Sen. Jamaal Bailey, Brendan Griffith Chief of Staff at the NYC Central Labor Council - which represents over 1.1 million workers, neighbors, community leaders and activists including Chef Geneva Wilson, K Born Rivers, Vivian Ortiz, George Ganley and Tony Edwards, in opening the Campaign Headquarters for her Council District 14 City Council Campaign.
This event, held on a chilly and rainy spring day, is the latest display of her campaign’s momentum, which boasts a broad, Bronx-based, worker-centered coalition of endorsers including Congressmembers Espaillat and Torres, state and local electeds, major unions, and community organizations. ....
