Brendoncare Knightwood residents visit Bournemouth beach

THESE care home residents were delighted to enjoy their first day out to the seaside in over a year.
A group from Brendoncare Knightwood in Chandler’s Ford were taken on a trip to Bournemouth beach and the New Forest.
They savoured their fish and chips and some residents even dipped their toes in the sea and sand.
There was much reminiscing about family beach holidays in their younger days.
After lunch they took a scenic tour through the New Forest where they stopped for tea and cake.
Jeanne De Le Cuona, a resident at Brendoncare Knightwood, said: “It was truly the best day and so lovely to see the sand and sea.”

Sophie expressed her joy during a video call with NHS General Practice nurses and Healthcare Assistants at the Lincolnshire Training Hub. The Countess of Wessex revealed during the emotional chat she was "just so happy" her 89-year-old father, Christopher Rhys-Jones, had received the jab against Covid-19.

GPs in Marlborough and Ramsbury ready to expand vaccine roll out to over 75's this week

The Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership says the vast majority have accepted and been vaccinated.
Dr Ralph Rosalie, senior partner said: "Vaccination of care home residents and staff is well underway and will be completed by Thursday this week.
"This will allow us to move our focus to the over 75 age group who we will start to vaccinate this weekend. We are also identifying and vaccinating as many NHS frontline staff as possible".
Spokesperson Suzy Deering added that no one will miss out.
"KAMP have running lists of who has and who hasn't received their first Covid vaccination, our staff will use all methods of contacting patients to make sure everyone receives their invitation.
