Thursday was the National Day of Prayer, and Callawegians took part in the day by hosting a prayer event at the new Justice Center.

On a Wednesday afternoon, Angela Yeo, owner of Le Café Gourmet, tamped down coffee grounds as a worker manned the cash register in the small Parisian-style cafe. Like many businesses lately, the downtown eatery is stretching to accommodate eager customers while being severely short staffed.
