The audit was completed by Eide Bailly to determine whether financial statements were developed according to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
The annual audit is an opinion on the district’s financial statements. The goal for Perham-Dent was to continue the clean rating meaning accurate and unmodified that the district has had in the past. A recent audit shows that goal was achieved.
The “clean” audit shows the district follows the set accounting rules and does not have material misstatements. The final audit is approved at the December school board meeting along with the Truth in Taxation discussion on Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. There is a presentation and time for public comments at the meeting.
