Ada Uit de Flesch, age 98, was born on July 29, 1924, in Worthington, MN, the daughter of Reinder and Henrietta (Van Drunen) Kooistra. She attended country school through the 8th grade after which she helped at home and worked for neighbors doing housework. Ada married Evert Uit de Flesch on April 30, 1943, in the parsonage of the First Baptist Church. After Evert was drafted into the Army in 1945, Ada and two young children lived with her mother.
