By Erik Harris, sports editor BIRMINGHAM The Leeds softball team on Saturday capped off a 3-0 run through the Class 5A, Area 10 tournament with a come-from-behind win over Ramsay in the championship game. Maddie Anthony doubled with two RBIs, Maddie Payne scattered three hits to go with two RBIs of her own and the Greenwave overcame a five-run deficit to beat the 1-seed Rams 15-13 at Huffman High School. Photo from the team’s Twitter account Leeds also notched a tournament winner’s bracket game over Ramsay on Thursday, 8-4, and started with a 10-0 win over Parker. On Saturday in the area finals, Leeds slipped into a 3-0 hole in the top of the first and later went to the middle of the third on the wrong side of an 8-3 score. But the 2-seed rallied for runs in each of their remaining four plate appearances, including seven runs in the bottom of the sixth.
