3D printers at Dundee Library let patrons create objects

When Chris and Brianne Hubbart arrived in East Dundee to carve a piece of art in the front of Dundee Library, they needed chainsaws. Erica Acevedo created a replica of it using the library’s 3D printer.

Sculpture carved by chainsaws created for East Dundee library

When a cottonwood tree in front of the East Dundee library was hit by lightning, the easy solution would have been to remove what was left and call it a day. Library officials had another thought.
