On Tuesday, the U.S. FDA authorized Novavax’s updated COVID-19 vaccine for use in people aged 12 years and older. This means people will now have the choice of a protein-based non-MRNA option to help protect themselves and their families against the XBB variant this fall. Its vaccine is the only protein-based, non-mRNA updated COVID-19 vaccine available.
