A Cedar Rapids couple that s been providing free meals to local families ever since the August 10 derecho got a huge lift this morning, courtesy of ABC-TV s Good Morning America. Bridgette Williams-Robinson and Jovountae Robinson, parents of seven kids, have been operating Bridge Under the Bridge since the day after the storm struck. They provide free meals under the 8th Avenue bridge near the corner of 8th Avenue and 3rd Street Southwest in Cedar Rapids. They re there every day except Saturday each week. The Robinsons personal story makes what they ve done even more amazing. Eight years ago, they were homeless, with five children, when they decided to move to Cedar Rapids. It s here that the family was able to get back on their feet. Over the last four months, they ve been doing everything they can to help others stay that way. ....
