Tara Murray Females were going for goal in the first of two school holiday soccer programs being held in Deer Park. Football Victoria, along with Brimbank council, is running two free sessions over the school holidays to encourage females to get involved in soccer. Football Victoria is aiming to have 50:50 gender equity in the sport across the state by 2027 and has embraced the #FootballHerWay – the Women and Girls strategy. The Brimbank Go Football program is for females over the age of 16 of all skill and fitness levels. The program is an introductory football program designed specifically for women, where participants can have fun, meet new people, and learn basic football skills.
