Top state, federal officials celebrate $7M in new brownfield funding for CT at blighted Waterbury industrial site
Top Waterbury, state and federal officials gathered in the cracked parking lot of a crumbling industrial complex in Waterbury Thursday afternoon, celebrating $4 million in new federal brownfield cleanup funds that will help clear away industrial eyesores in the greater Waterbury area. It is part of a larger pool of about $7 million in new brownfield funds coming to Connecticut, in part, from the $1 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021.
