The Archbishop Wood senior point guard and the Vikings girls’ basketball coach are both spirited competitors and it’s defined their relationship for the past three years. McDonald knows he can give it to his point guard because not only can she take it, she can give it right back. Renninger didn’t hold back on Monday either, the senior redeeming herself at the foul line as the top-seeded Vikings outlasted Archbishop Carroll 54-52 in two overtimes at the fabled Palestra to win the Philadelphia Catholic League championship. ....

Her older sister Taylor scored her 1,000th point last winter for the Patriots.
