Separate incident results in no injuries, officials say

WATERTOWN Two people died Saturday in a fishing accident on Lake Poinsett, according to the Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a post on the Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the Watertown Dispatch Center received a 911 call shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday that an ATV and two individuals had broken through the ice.
Emergency personnel from the Hamlin County Emergency Management, Codington County Search and Rescue and Lake Norden Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. Also assisting were the Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Game Fish and Parks and the South Dakota Highway Patrol. ....
