Bruce Sutter, who entered the Baseball Hall of Fame after 300 saves with the Cubs, Cardinals and Braves, has died at 69.
Sutter was one of the first to throw a split-finger fastball, debuted with the Chicago Cubs in 1976 and won a World Series in 1982 with the St. Louis Cardinals.
His split-finger pitch was almost unhittable for a while.
