Metabolite in urine predicts diabetic kidney
High urine levels of adenine, a metabolite produced in the kidney, were associated with a higher risk of kidney failure in three international research cohorts, a team from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (also called UT Health San Antonio) reported.
