Lincoln Literacy’s Global Celebration, a fundraising event, is set for Thursday, Nov. 9, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel, 333 S 13th St.
The organization, which teaches English to refugees and immigrants, held an open house Thursday for board members, city council members and the media.
The new location will offer more than four times the services the old one did, in a two-story, 4,000-square-foot building at 1023 Lincoln Mall.
