The family and attorneys of Demonte Ward-Blake, the Prince George's County man who was left paralyzed from the neck down after a 2019 police traffic stop, have reached a $7.5 settlement in the case.
A former Prince George's County officer learned his prison sentence Thursday after being found guilty in May of second degree assault, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office for assaulting a citizen while he was handcuffed behind his back.
The 29-year-old officer was found guilty in May of three misdemeanors.
