After being removed, Pitt-Pladdy was arrested and escorted to Dorset County Hospital where a sample of blood was taken for analysis. Tests showed there was 245 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of his blood. The drink drive limit is 80 milligrams. In interview, Pitt-Pladdy explained he was ‘startled’ by the officers who awoke him and he ‘panicked’.
