Do you agree with yea, i think he s spot on. you re going to see an increase in unemployment which the fed has frankly said, that s okay, that s not our priority. yeah, we need that unemployment, as a matter of fact, jerome powell said. and i listened to all of maria s interviews with the ceos at davos, and they all said something is coming. how steep is, we don t know. as somebody who has been following wall street for a long time, i listen to the ceos, the money guys. they tend to know what s coming. will: brian, soft recession or hard recession? well, here s the problem, okay? you ve got the bank ceos saying maybe a mild recession, but you ve got a u.s. economy that s limping along, and this administration has done nothing for the supply side, for growth, to get things moving again. so the problem is if you get a little bit of a break, a little bit of a recession buzz but you get oil prices spiking again, what happens? mild recession becomes big recession. you ve got to bu ....

That that gets cut off. yeah, the russians are not exactly turning to some of the finest members of the international community when they are engaged in this sort of thing. what do you make of this open dispute between the u.s. and germany over providing tanks to ukraine? i think that it is somewhat disappointing. i think that germany right now is proving that they might not be quite the reliable ally that we would expect from someone that has a large economy, and is a nato member like that. i think in the long run, it is going to continue to grow as a fracture. germany said that they wanted to step up and spend more, meet their 2% gdp commitment to the nato alliance, and then they have found reason, after reason, after reason in the last couple of weeks to begin to back off of that. when it comes to tanks, it is a specious argument. they are one country away from being at the front of that war with poulin does a buffer, and yet they will not allow frontline military equipment to g ....

Told them look but don t read is not a standard you will find in any security protocol. i have spent years working in cases and skiffs. i m not allowed to bring someone into a skif and say don t look at the table or documents. that s not how this is done. the problem is really what happened after november 2nd. even if we assume that the white house did not know that there was potentially classified information or documents if the penn biden office, they clearly knew that after november 2nd. yet we re hearing that until quite recently, they were still using uncleared counsel. the question is why? this is the president of the united states. he has got a large staff of security officers. he has the f.b.i. they all could have been used for this purpose. i this i the only answer is that they wanted that added buffer and control of using private counsel. bill: interesting. ....

Public officials accountable. and merrick garland is saying he cannot or will not do that. what you are driving out there, the perception piece of this, i think that is a lot of what we are talking about. i have to ask you, is there a world where the appointment of the special counsel in the biden case, then gives greater credibility to a case against trump? when you flip it, does it sort of buffer against the attacks that you know are coming from republicans? no. no. because here is the thing. merrick garland backed his own self into a corner when he appointed the special prosecutor the first time, right? when he appoints one in the trump case, even though these cases are different, i understand that from his again, security cat perspective, he feels like he is boxed in. he feels like he has to appoint a special counsel. find. i disagree with that decision. but i understand the logic. what is the logic of appointing a republican special counsel? what is the logic of appointing ....
