A RENOWNED pub chain has been awarded a prestigious prize. Butcombe Brewing Co, which runs The Victoria Arms in Old Marston, won the Best Managed Pub Company in this year’s Publican Awards. The awards are considered to be the ‘Oscars of the industry’ and the brewery fought off fierce competition from some of the UK’s most popular pubs to win the award. The company hugely expanded last year, taking over The Victoria Arms from the Wadworth pub chain in November 2020.
