The ongoing spell of summer-like weather in B.C. led to a slew of broken temperature records on Wednesday and has sped-up mountain snowmelt and worsened spring flood conditions.
From Comox to Squamish to Yoho National Park, eight areas in B.C. set new daily high temperatures as a ridge of high pressure brought the province more sunshine on Tuesday.
According to Environment Canada, a ridge of high pressure anchored over the province is bringing clear skies and warm spring weather.
The River Forecast Centre said the flood watch includes areas near Cache Creek, Deadman River, Criss Creek, and Bonaparte River.
Her visit comes as municipalities continue to be on the front line of many of the province's challenges, including the housing shortage and toxic drug crisis.
