All four have since received bail.
Khalid's legal counsel also reiterated that the chargesheet in the case was born out of the investigating officer's "fertile imagination" and that Khalid should not have been made an accused in the case in the first place.
Despite calling the evidence ‘sketchy’, the judge denied bail to the accused and surprisingly quoted Swami Vivekananda and John Milton to buttress his argument.
Case pertains to alleged charges of rioting and damage to public property besides others, during the anti-CAA protests in December, 2019.
