The small light aircraft is believed to have taken off yesterday from the Mona Airfield in Anglesey. At 1.44pm North Wales Police received a report that the plane had crashed into a residential area.
Police reported that they were told at 1.44pm yesterday that a light aircraft had crashed into the Cae Bach Aur estate - where they attended along with ambulance and fire crews. The pilot was airlifted to hospital and didn't have life threatening injuries
An eyewitness says he heard the aircraft's engine cut out before it "ploughed down into a tree".
The incident happened at 1.30pm on the Cae Bach Aur estate in Bodffordd, Anglesey. Witnesses confirmed the pilot appeared to be unharmed after escaping from the wreckage.
