Dad's gruelling charity challenge raises over £2000 for local kids in poverty

A wind farm worker set himself a year-long physical fitness charity challenge that ended last week with a solid 20-hour workout session and £2130 raised for local children living in poverty.
Thirty-year-old Bryan McKiddie is a control room operator with SSE on the Beatrice offshore wind farm and works around his shifts as a fitness coach running classes and online training as BMckFitness and Coaching.
I set myself [the challenge] of completing burpees every day for each day of the year, said Bryan. ....

This morning, a Wick supermarket shared seasonal goodwill through its charity campaign, Little Acts of Christmas Spirit.
Wick Coop manager Modris Karklins and the store s member pioneer Jamie Robson gave trolleys filled with festive food to kids in Keiss and the elderly people of Lybster through two local representatives from each village.
Treasa Hamilton, secretary of Keiss Primary School Parent Council said: We had spoken to Modris at the Coop and asked if they could donate treats for the children. It s been a very difficult year and we just thought it would be nice if we could give them an end of term treat. ....
