STURGIS, MI – A former police chief this week pleaded guilty in a drunken driving case.
Former Sturgis Police Chief Geoffrey Smith, 46, pleaded guilty Wednesday, May 12, to driving while impaired, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a news release. He entered the plea before Calhoun County District Judge Paul Beardslee, through a Zoom hearing. ....
