Schwarzenegger, former governor arnold schwarzenegger ran on a platform he was going to help clean up california s fiscal mess and it s only gotten worse since he s been in office. of course jerry brown does have a lot of experience dealing with the budget in the state of california. the complex budget in this state. of course it was much smaller when he was governor in the late 70s and early 80s. he s also a democrat, which may help him. because democrats are in a majority in the state legislature. that s one of the difficulties that governor arnold schwarzenegger had, was trying to get any budget reform measures through that state legislature. he came in with a lot of hollywood imagery. at one point he took conan the barbarian s sword off the wall of his office and said he would slash the budget where it needed to be slashed. he never got it through and the budget was in deficit every single year and late and delayed because of california s unique legislative situation where it tak ....
