Keswick Rotary Club has teamed up with Calvert Bear, the centre’s mascot to launch 'Calvert Bear’s Five Peak Challenge.' This physical challenge, planned for May 26, will see Calvert Bear and his Human companions climb, cycle, and paddle to complete a circuit of the five peaks after which the Calvert Trust activity teams are named. Bear Grylls supports event to raise funds for Calvert Trust Bear Grylls is backing an event to raise cash for the Lake District Calvert Trust. The Calvert Bear 5 Peak Challenge is organised by Keswick Rotary Club to help the charity, which was on the brink of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. It launched a £1 million Bounce Back Appeal in December and raised over £730,000, allowing it to reopen.
