Carpenter BENTON – Senior U.S. District Judge Phil Gilbert ordered Edwardsville lawyer Brian Wendler to pay fees and costs for defendants that litigated in the wrong court for seven months due to an error he committed. Gilbert passed the bill to Wendler on March 26, in the process of remanding the case to St. Clair County where it began.
