Upper Peninsula based singer/storyteller Bill Jamerson will present a music and storytelling program about the Civilian Conservation Corps at the 70 West Sports Complex, Hwy 70 West in Minocqua, on Tuesday, June 21, at 1:30 pm. The hour-long program is sponsored by the Lakeland Area Genealogy Society and Minocqua Public Library and is free and open to the public. Attendees should bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. The Civilian Conservation Corps was a federal works program created by President Franklin Roosevelt in the heart of The Great Depression.
