Wilbur Rea Jones NEWPORT NEWS Our gracious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, called home our beloved, the Rev. Dr. Wilbur Rea Jones, 86, to eternal rest Monday, Feb. 22, 2021. Pastor Jones was a great man of God, servant, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many he met along the way. His life was an example of Christ’s love and forgiveness in ways too numerous to describe. His charity toward his family, flock and the community was boundless. God truly blessed Pastor Jones with many gifts and talents, which he used daily in the preaching of God’s Word, the administration of the church and life in general. ....
