RM Sotheby's received the Cizeta Moroder V16 T prototype earlier this year, but the seller took it back before the auction. Now, the seller tries again, and the car is going under the hammer on the 2022 February 27 auction.

Cizeta-Moroder V16T chassis number 001 was first revealed in 1988 during a one-off event in Los Angeles, before being brought to the LA Auto Show the next year, then the Geneva Motor Show shortly after. Moroder has owned the car since, electing to have a full mechanical recommissioning done by Canepa Design in 2018 to ensure smooth running for years to come. Being the first of just 10 V16Ts built, this particular prototype sports a handful of design cues that did not appear on the nine subsequent production vehicles.
