Progress on a planned affordable housing development near Kamiak Elementary in Pullman has slowed because of higher construction costs and obstacles in getting approved by the Pullman planning commission.
A local engineering company hopes to move forward with a neighborhood of 68 affordable single-family homes in Pullman. The Pullman Planning Commission heard public comments Feb. 24 about an application to convert 10.2 agricultural acres into the Canyon Crest Planned Residential Development. Pullman Planning Director RJ Lott said Syntier Engineering applied for construction Dec. 20.
