Lets check this morning, the tragedy is really starting to sink in in the wake of a deadly tornado in waverly. But people are stepping in to the storm victims. Weve seen an outpouring of support for people who lost their homes in the storm. These images from chopper 10 really show the destruction. Even though itll take some time before everything is back to normal for the victims, cleanup is well underway so many helping ....
Minor burn. A man and woman got out from the first floor. A woman and a child also got out from the second floor, according to investigators. It started around 2 00 this morning on kingston avenue. Thats near cape view avenue, just one block behind West Ocean View avenue. Now here is a still picture of the scene from the norfolk fire department. You can see just how intense the flames got. A spokesman told us more than 30 firefighters responded to the scene. Dominion virginia power crews responded because of a downed power line from the fire.
