Sketches drawn by medic who treated hundreds of wounded Tommies at Battle of Somme go up for auction
Capt Theodore Howard Somervell treated wounded British soldiers at the Battle of the Somme in 1916, and sketched sombre images of some of the grim scenes he encountered as a surgeon.
