Missing Southaven, Mississippi woman Rachael Wallace has been found safe, the Panola County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday morning. Wallace was located in Nacogdoches. At about 6:10 a.m., the Nacogdoches Police Department reported that she had entered a convenience store and the store clerk recognized her from the missing person information that had been distributed from Panola County Sheriff’s Office, Captain Sarah Fields said. CARTHAGE, Texas - Panola County Sheriff Kevin Lake is retiring in May, and his third in command, Capt. Sarah Fields, was appointed by the Commissioner’s Court Monday to take over as sheriff after his retirement. Lake has spent 29 years in Panola County law enforcement, starting as a jailer at age 19. He’s been sheriff for the past nine years.
