Unpaid carers encouraged to take up coronavirus vaccine offer as roll-out continues (Image: PA) THE Mayor of Bury will lead an online ‘thank you’ to the many hundreds of unpaid carers across the borough. Cllr Tim Pickstone will be joined by council leader Eamonn O’Brien in paying tribute to their tireless work looking after the borough’s most vulnerable people, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The session will be live-streamed on Friday, March 19 at 5pm and will be recorded so that anyone, particularly those unable to watch live due to caring responsibilities, can view it later. Cllr Andrea Simpson, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “The carers of Bury are an invaluable part of our local communities. The support each one of them provides makes a tangible difference to improve the quality of life of a friend, a relative or fellow resident of this borough and the wider community. ....
