AFTER we ran a story this week about concerns over whether it was right to allow Weaverham fun fair to take place, many of you shared your comments. Peter Wakefield, who has lived in the village for decades said many residents were 'up in arms' about the decision of Weaverham Parish Council to give the go-ahead to the event with Covid restrictions still in place. Despite further claims that several parish councillors were also against the idea, the acting Clerk of the council said none of those concerns were raised when permission was granted last month. For many of our readers, it would seem the return of the fun fair was a most welcome sight as we ease our way back to normality.
