Since 1975, Homer Council on the Arts has been offering performances, exhibitions and arts education for community members of all ages and abilities, serving the community by creating space and opportunities for people and innovative ideas.
Homer’s galleries and public art spaces showcase work by local and Kenai Peninsula artists during their November First Friday events. Stroll the art walk, meet the artists and enjoy the variety of mediums on display.
While some might consider settling down to mean marrying, starting a family or buying a house, for Carley Conemac it meant putting a stop to her decadelong adventure of hopping trains and instead, finding a town to tuck into. In Homer, she found not only a community, but also a passion for silversmithing, which she now shares with others.
