A single vehicle accident has closed the A39 at Carnon Downs Southbound this afternoon with heavy queues of traffic reported.

Emergency services were first called to reports of the collision at 4.53pm. The two vehicles collided on the A39, between the Treluswell Roundabout and the Olive Grove Bistro at Barras Moor, not far from Perranarworthal. At 5.45pm, during the main rush hour traffic, there were delays of 15 minutes to get past the crash scene. Congestion was reported to the Carnon Gate Roundabout, heading southbound.
