Carson City’s Francisco’s Mexican Restaurant has been a long-standing feature in the Carson Valley, and expanded into the Carson Mall in 2013 in the spot previously housing Paradise Cove. Now, after a decade of serving up Mexican fare inside the mall, the location will be closing.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City area to help the next three days breeze by. There's a morning Muscle Powered walk, plus the Nevada State Museum will host 2 behind the scenes tours in natural history and anthropology.

A popular Carson Valley food and wine bistro is expanding to Carson City. Tahoe Ridge Winery will open in the former Station Grille restaurant location, across from the Carson Mall on Carson Street. The announcement was made at a Carson City Chamber mixer Wednesday and today by the chamber in its daily newsletter.

CARSON CITY — Shaheen Beauchamp Builders has begun an exterior facelift on the Carson Mall under request from The Carrington Company, owners of the mall. The mall and all of its stores will be open and accessible during the project, which is expected to be completed in under three months.
