Sheboygan County reports first case of P.1 variant of COVID-19

SHEBOYGAN - Sheboygan County reported the presence of another COVID-19 variant Wednesday, as well as the county's fourth death in the past two weeks.  The person whose death was reported Wednesday was in their 70s, bringing the county's total deaths to 138. A third variant strain, P.1, has been found in Sheboygan County through random sampling, Public Health said in Wednesday's update. Coronavirus in Sheboygan: Another death reported in 70 to 79 age group

SHEBOYGAN - Sheboygan County reported another COVID-19-related death Tuesday — the third death reported in the past two weeks, after only one in the first half of April. The person whose death was reported Tuesday was in their 70s, bringing the county's total deaths to 137. According to data from the Department of Health Services, just over 47,000 — or almost 41% — of Sheboygan County residents had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The man injured is 24 year old Jacob T.
